It is of course nature’s fury, whether it is the drought due to poor monsoons or the states of AP and Karnataka inundated under floods waters.

But just imagine, if the flood waters that have reeked havoc in the Southern states could be harnessed and channeled to the drought hit area, it would have done wonders for our agriculture sector by reducing our dependence on rains.

Important projects like the river linking project have remained only on paper because of the selfishness and narrow minded thinking of our politicians.

It is high time that we developed such critical projects on a war footing which will not only save lives and property but also increase our food production, generate employment and address the water shortage problem.
